Red Raiders Look to Rebound in Kingsbury's Second Season

Non-Conference Slate Features Home Games Against Stephen F. Austin and UTEP

After a disappointing 4-8 record in Kliff Kingsbury's first season as head coach, the Texas Tech Red Raiders are looking to rebound in 2016. The Red Raiders' schedule features a favorable non-conference slate, with home games against Stephen F. Austin and UTEP, as well as a road game at Arkansas.

The Red Raiders will open the season on September 3rd at home against Stephen F. Austin. The Lumberjacks are coming off a 2-9 season in the FCS, and they should not pose much of a challenge for the Red Raiders.

Texas Tech will then travel to Fayetteville to take on the Arkansas Razorbacks on September 10th. The Razorbacks are coming off a 7-6 season, and they should be a tough test for the Red Raiders. However, the Red Raiders have won three of the last four meetings between the two schools.
